Cultural and social facility in Humenné
The Town Cultural Centre is located in quiet zone of town, close to the preserved park, where the amphitheatre is situated. In the building of the House of Culture there
are two halls, the first one with step auditorium and capacity of 462 seats, the second one with capacity of 300-600 seats.
The large vestibules and three another rooms with capacity of 20 seats and one room with 40-60 seats are located in the ground floor
and the first floor. Besides cultural events also special seminars, conferences, etc. are being organized inside the premises.

The Town Cultural Centre in Humenne is objective cultural and social institution of town Humenne funded from municipal budget. As a cultural institution it has a large fixation. It offers options for
all kinds of leisure time activities, wide offer of programmes from its own production and also different bought agency performances of various characters. First of all there are entertaining shows
and concerts of famous celebrities, dramatic performances for children, creative art exhibitions, serious music concerts and festivals. Serious music concerts have long tradition in our town. The Town Cultural Centre organizationaly covers The Musical Spring of Humenne since 1961. It´s a set of
serious music concerts in Humenne mansion concert hall, realized every May. Also The Autumn concert cycle is a traditional survey of serious music. In 2003 our organization released the international organ festival - The Humenne organ days of Štefan Thomán. The festival takes place
in roman catholic church of All Saints . Also there´s another festival, The Humenne Taller - exhibition of folk traditions served by home and invited folk ensembles.
The spare-time activity of Town Cultural Centre in Humenne based on amateur ground with various fixation enjoys big deal of interest and support of association. We offer all kind of activities which
allow many actions for all groups ( music, dance, song ) all roud the year. The folk group Kalina founded in 1979 has the longest history in our organization. Since its foundation, the groups´ repertory is fixed to songs, dances and habits from the Upper Zemplin and part of Šariš region. The programme is a varied palette of men, women an pair dances. With their performances they roused spectators at home and also on abroad festivals in Norway, Great Britain, Turkey, Holland, Italy, Poland and Ukraine, where Kalina succesfuly represented Humenne. Parallelly with Kalina, the 30 member group of children Kalinka works. The shortest history has the singing group Riava, which is fixed on Ukrainian , Russian and Slovak folk songs.
Except these groups representing Slovak folk culture, there are also 3 another groups operating at The Town Cultural Centre. The most seeked of them is Ester, founded in 1998. It´s fixed on tradiotional and fleuer forms of national dances. Actually there are many Irish tap and soft dances. The choreographer of group is Alena Hostiňáková.
Another group operating at The Town Cultural Centre is maiden group of modern scenic dance Fortuna. Also there´s dancing school Gracia, operating at TCC few years. The Town Cultural Centre also prepares ballroom dancing exhibition named "The Cup of Cultural House" ( for Junior II D and Junior II C pairs ) with participation of many foreign dancing schools.
There is working a dramatic group too - named Only the ears (SAMÉ UCHO) since 1992. The members work on the amateur base. The theatrical group fixates to amateur production - comedies, slapstick comedies, comedies della arte of Carlo Goldoni. The group cooperates with the handicapped children . Together with them the group realeases annually theatrical fairy-tale performance for public. The results of this cooperation are the fairy-tales "Polepetko, Kocúr v čižmách, Trasochvostík".
TCC in cooperation with all own art groups prepares natural cultural performances and offers them for presenting in other towns, for schools or as evening performaces.
TCC offers the educational services by the courses - lingual, musical or motional to their customers. The most successful are the ballroom dance courses for graduating students.
Our organization cooperates and knots contacts with the similar institutions in Slovakia and abroad (Czech republik, Poland, Ukraine) and with the cultural institutions working beside the embassies in Slovakia (Hungary, France, Poland, Austria) and with the Czech association in Slovakia.
